Not real ones! Neither thieves that steal gentlemen, nor thieves that happen to be gentlemen, but the game themed on characters like Arsène Lupin and Raffles. Though regarding the latter, it doesn’t involve bloodlust or bashing your own head in to fool the police. Just bluffing and tricking the other players.

If it arrives in time, we’ll also have Skull & Roses, which is an excellently simple bluffing game in which you can all really mess with each other. Two points to win sounds almost as simple as the game is to explain, but it really isn’t.

We also have 2 new games fresh from the Orc’s Nest (a wonderful little board games/comic shop in the heart of London). Joining our game selection is 7 Wonders and Village.

So: four new games, tea, bluffing, and not murder. Downstairs at Lee Rosy’s, Broad Street, Nottingham, from 18:00 on Thursday the 2nd of May. If you happen to like Facebook, there’s an event page here.

Marchtember.

Whatever you like to call it, the month in question is here. It’s here. Right now.

We’re marking in the month with a March themed Gambling Lambs on Thursday 7th (surprisingly).

There’ll be games, and people, and cake, and tea, and there’ll also be a secret word that if you can guess, you will win a box of Maltesers. Seriously. (I basically couldn’t come up with a name for this month, so I used a gimmick).

We look forward to seeing you all there and stuff.

42, eh? If only 42 were a significant number, I could make something of it. Maybe if I were better prepared, but there’s no time for deep thought today, and it’s hardly the end of the universe.

Speaking of which, we tried Cosmic Encounter last month, and it’s possibly a bit meaty and long for Gambling Lambs, but it’ll be there if you want to try it. Depending on the mix of alien races you get, it may also BREAK YOUR MIND. After my first and second games of it, I felt like having a lie down.

As well as that, there will be some more wholly remarkable games there. Join us at Lee Rosy’s from 18:00, this Thursday the 7th of February.

Holy Wow.

Ho – Lee – Wow.

AUGUST was the last time we posted an update on the site.

We are terribly, terribly sorry about that.

Lots of joyous things have been going on since August that have kind of led to us …. neglecting, shall we say, the site.
However, the year is drawing to a close, and with it are our hectic schedules, and we’re ushering in a new era of ‘Giving a crap’ about posting updates.

THIS DECEMBER 6TH marks the FORTIETH (wow, did not know how to spell that) Gambling Lambs. That’s right. The big 4 – 0.
GL is officially over the hill.

We have got a whole host of games (as usual) to have a bash on, and I’m going to be bringing my laptop so everybody can play (and increase) my high score on Super Hexagon, that was finally released for PC and Mac this week (buy it here!)

There MAY entirely also be a CHRISTMAS EDITION of Werewolves. Hooray!

I for one am really looking forwards to seeing everybody again and hopefully some new faces, too!

So spread the word! There’s a Google Plus event HERE, and David will hopefully get around to putting the event up on Facebook. Maybe even HERE? (is there a link there yet? David? Hello?)

See you soon!
