Ho – Lee – Wow.

AUGUST was the last time we posted an update on the site.

We are terribly, terribly sorry about that.

Lots of joyous things have been going on since August that have kind of led to us …. neglecting, shall we say, the site.
However, the year is drawing to a close, and with it are our hectic schedules, and we’re ushering in a new era of ‘Giving a crap’ about posting updates.

THIS DECEMBER 6TH marks the FORTIETH (wow, did not know how to spell that) Gambling Lambs. That’s right. The big 4 – 0.
GL is officially over the hill.

We have got a whole host of games (as usual) to have a bash on, and I’m going to be bringing my laptop so everybody can play (and increase) my high score on Super Hexagon, that was finally released for PC and Mac this week (buy it here!)

There MAY entirely also be a CHRISTMAS EDITION of Werewolves. Hooray!

I for one am really looking forwards to seeing everybody again and hopefully some new faces, too!

So spread the word! There’s a Google Plus event HERE, and David will hopefully get around to putting the event up on Facebook. Maybe even HERE? (is there a link there yet? David? Hello?)

Happy Birthday folks!

Thursday August 2nd marks Gambling Lambs 3rd birthday.

On the birthday Gambling Lambs, it has been known that people bake cakes and cookies and bring them to share with the rest of the group, but do not at all feel obliged! It’s a fun thing to do! We love it and we get some really great game themed desserts!

As usual, it begins at 18:00 and ends at 22:00. If the weather holds out/it warms up by later, we’ll close the birthday night with a big game of Ninja, but if it doesn’t get any better, we’ll have a jolly old game of Werewolves instead, I’m sure!

So, July is almost upon us, and so is another instalment of Gambling Lambs!

It’s practically smack bang in the middle of the year. Hopefully the storms we’re currently having on and off in between periods of extreme humidity will have subsided by the time GL comes around. If it has, and it’s pleasant outside, I suggest we go play Ninja at the end of the night, rather than Werewolves, as it’d be nice to get outside, back to our roots!

There’ll be a plethora of games to play, along with some new ones, so we really hope again to see you all there!

So today the skies decided they apparently wanted to open and empty their contents onto us poor souls beneath.

They want to stop us having fun. Trap us indoors, doomed to watch endless repeats of Goldenballs and Points of View.

Well I say NO. No. We shall not be held indoors. We shall not have our lives ruled by the evils of the weather. I say that we take a stand! Join me! Leave the house!

I bought some new games from Amazon, but I decided not to pay the shipping price of 1 Human Soul, so I opted for free standard delivery, and they didn’t turn up in time, but come and hear me tell stories of their wonders and play some games from our regular stock of fantastic games.

So in an effort to not suck at posting updates about forthcoming Gambling Lambs, I put a reminder on my phone to post an update 2 weeks before the event. And here we are. 2 weeks before the event.

True story.

The next Gambling Lambs is on Thursday May 3rd. It’s going to be a lovely day with temperatures around early 20s and just a hint of mint in the air. Much like the 1920s.

There will no doubt be lots of lovely games, and I’m sure some new ones to boot, too.

I’m going to try and make sure that ordnungswissenschaft is there again as it was sorely missed (mostly by me) at the last GL.
