FAQ

Q: When is it?
A: The first Thursday of every month.

Q: Where?
A: Lee Rosy’s Tea Room in Nottingham (map). They serve an assortment of teas, coffees, sandwiches, soups, cakes, cookies, milkshakes, etc.

Q: Why is it called Gambling Lambs?
A: Lambs gambol. They don’t gamble, but everyone misspells it that way. We like wordplay.

Q: What time do I need to be there?
A: We start at 6:00pm and finish when Lee Rosy’s closes at 10:00pm, but you can turn up any time you like. Obviously, you might miss the start of some games, and it wouldn’t exactly be practical to hop into a game of Twister halfway through, but there will always be people around and things to play.

Q: What games do you play?
A: Anything! Seriously. Videogames, boardgames, roleplaying games, and social games (like Werewolf, Mafia, and Charades) are all OK in our book. We’re not restricted to any certain types of games, but frisbee in a tea room might be pushing it a bit.

Q: Can anyone come?
A: Of course. You’re welcome to just turn up, optionally with games and/or friends. If you’d like to get involved in any other way, you can talk to Ross and David via the contact page.

Q: Do I need to bring my own things?
A: We have a bunch of games around for people to play, and you can join in with whatever we’re playing too. If you don’t know how to play something, we’ll teach you. We’re a pretty friendly bunch, and if you’re a bit shy then talk to David or Ross (Again, see our fizzogs on the contact page). If there’s something really specific you’d like to play, then you’ll be best off bringing it yourself though. Perhaps you could teach us?

Q: Is there actually gambling there?
A: No. That would be illegal, and none of us are into gambling for real anyway. House always wins!
